Due to the twists and turns of life, I was raised alone by my mother. Let's just say she's the model woman I've always followed. She's been a tireless fighter and an excellent friend.
But this time, I'm here to talk about another person who left a profound mark on my life. Matilde is her name, and if it feels that strong when you say it, imagine her character.
I met her at university, when I began my degree. She was my Linguistics professor and the group leader. Despite being a strong and imposing woman, she always had advice, a smile ready to change your day, and a helping hand to support you at every moment.
Honestly, I learned so much from her, not just knowledge—she is certainly one of the most intellectual women I've ever met—I also learned dedication and passion for what I do, resilience, and not letting obstacles get me down. Most importantly, she taught me to be a good teacher and instill in my students the same values she showed me in her mentorship.
I remember when we were isolated due to the pandemic, not a day went by that she didn't call home asking about the family's well-being. Life didn't allow her to have children, but it didn't take away that maternal sweetness and protective instinct toward everyone around her.
In our goodbyes, and even when she presented me with my university degree, she always gave me the same advice, which I still try to put into practice in my daily life. She told me: Maria, just be happy.
And he is right in his words, there is nothing more important in life than your happiness and that of those around you, today I strive more than ever to be that and teach my little one his value and priority.
It's been a while since we've seen each other due to the distance between us and the fact that life moves so fast, but I'll always remember her words and the warm affection she conveyed to everyone. Without a doubt, she was an example of a woman to follow in every aspect. My gratitude to her

Un cordial saludo para toda la colmena. Nuevamente nos encontramos como cada semana para darle respuesta a las preguntas de la tan esperada iniciativa, que no deja de sorprendernos.
Por cosas de la vida me crié sola con mi mamá, digamos que ella es el patrón de mujer por la que siempre me he guiado . Ha sido una luchadora incansable, y una excelente amiga.
Pero en esta ocasión vengo a hablarles de otra persona, que marcò una profunda huella en mi vida. Matilde, es su nombre , y si así de fuerte se siente al pronunciarlo imaginen su carácter.
La conocí en la universidad, cuando comencé a estudiar la carrera. Era mi profesora de Lingüística y la guía del grupo. A pesar de ser una mujer fuerte e imponente siempre tenía un consejo, una sonrisa dispuesta a cambiarte el día y una mano amiga para apoyarte en cada momento.
Sinceramente de ella aprendí tanto, no solo conocimientos, que por cierto es una de las mujeres más intelectuales que he conocido, también aprendí entrega y pasión por lo que hago, a ser resiliente, no dejarme vencer por los obstáculos y lo más importante me enseñò a ser buena profesora y transmitir a los estudiantes los mismos valores que me mostró en su tutoría.
Recuerdo cuando estuvimos aislados por la pandemia no pasaba un día que no llamara a casa preguntando por el bienestar de la familia. La vida no le permitió tener hijos, pero no le arrebató esa dulzura maternal y ese instinto de protección hacia todos los que la rodean.
En nuestras despedidas e incluso cuando me entregó mi título universitario , me daba siempre el mismo consejo,que hasta hoy intento ponerlo en práctica en mi vida diaria. Me decía: María, solo se feliz.
Y si que tiene razón en sus palabras, no hay nada más importante en la vida que la felicidad tuya y la de los que te rodean ,hoy me empeño más que nunca en serlo y enseñarle a mi pequeño su valor y prioridad.
Ya hace un tiempo no nos vemos por la distancia que nos separa, y que la vida va tan deprisa, pero conservo siempre sus palabras y ese cálido cariño que transmitía a todos. Sin duda alguna un ejemplo de mujer a seguir en todos sus aspectos. Mi gratitud hacia ella.

Me da mucha alegría que recuerdes a tu profesora. Matilde es una mujer de valores, apasionada por el magisterio, por la cultura y la historia. También la admiro y la respeto. Hace poco, en la inauguración del curso de la Universidad del adulto mayor, le hicieron algunos reconocimientos, soy testigo de que moría de la pena, por verdadera modestia. Le dije bajo:"Profe, honor a quien honor merece". 💜💜
