I remember when I had a job in a different location. I had the intention to stay in that job for a long time. I had made a lot of friends both at work and where I lived. When I was stable, everything was going smoothly, the work environment was the best I could hope for. My bosses where amazing people.
For some people, they don't enjoy going to work but my case was the opposite. I enjoyed going to work. I would look forward to Mondays because of how excited I was going to work. It made me realize that when you are always happy going back to work, you wouldn't see it as a tedious chore.

However something happened one day. I got a job offer from somewhere else. The salary was much better than what I was already earning and it required me to move to another state.
This was the main contention. I wasn't ready to leave the life I already had. I loved my work environment at the time. My co-workers were the best. I didn't even know whether to accept the job offer and if I did, I didn't know how I was going to tell my friends and coworkers or even my boss. This new job would require me to move over to a new place and start life over again. Even though the new opportunity was better, I found it difficult to let go of the job I already had.
I kept on delaying on making a final decision until one day I was made to realize that sometimes change is difficult but it is constant and it can be the best thing to happen to you.
So I decided to take the job. It was emotional telling my boss, my co-workers and the friends I already made that I had to move. It was difficult telling them goodbye. But then I had to learn to let go for a better future for myself.
I tried to be positive about the new life I will be living and it actually turned out amazing. The new job was incredible, the work environment was favorable, and the city was beautiful. I made amazing new friends. I'm glad I took that decision.
I was almost worried about what your final decision on the new job offer would be because a lot of people prefer to cling on to what already feels good and comfortable than making the bold move of exploring a new life or path with even bigger possibilities. Fortunately, you gathered all the courage needed to make this change and I think that’s what growth is all about. Well done!
Thank you. I'm glad I gathered the courage I needed. It was really worth it in the end
The decision you made to change jobs and learn to let go in order to pursue a better future and feel joy in doing so is very valuable; thank you for sharing your experiences.

Sometimes we feel afraid to start from scratch; new beginnings always scare us. I've lost count of how many times I've started from scratch in less than two years. Haha
This goes to prove that money isn't our only criteria in determining the quality of our work life. Leaving what was has been comfortable and familiar is risk free yet how will we know that the new job could be just as good or perhaps better unless you try?
