Desde mi infancia hasta mi actual día a día, la mujer ha crecido en el mundo familiar y laboral; por lo tanto el viajar sola puede ser una rutina que corresponda al trabajo, los negocios o responsabilidades familiares y las formas de viajar dependerán de las distancias y de los medios económicos disponibles para el viaje. Esto no nació en el siglo XXI, viene del pasado. Pero ciertamente, ha aumentado el número de viajeras, incluso con motivos vacacionales y de competencias deportivas. Podría decirse que en este aspecto ya no hay verdaderas diferencias entre la mujer que viaja y el hombre viajero.
From my childhood to my current day to day life, women have grown up in the family and work world; therefore, traveling alone can be a routine that corresponds to work, business or family responsibilities and the ways of traveling will depend on the distances and the economic means available for the trip. This was not born in the 21st century, it comes from the past. But certainly, the number of female travelers has increased, even for vacations and sports competitions. It could be said that in this aspect there are no longer any real differences between the traveling woman and the traveling man.
Yo he disfrutado viajar sola, por motivos de trabajo, por visitas familiares y, principalmente, en disfrute de vacaciones; pero también he viajado acompañada de amistades y familiares, en pareja y en grupos. Viajar es mi pasión y lo disfruto en diferentes situaciones. Mi primer viaje sola lo hice en las vacaciones de mi primer año de trabajo. Ahorré todo el año para ese viaje. Vine a Europa desde Venezuela a visitar lugares que soñaba conocer, como la Grecia Clásica, visité la Acrópolis de Atenas, el Oráculo de Delfos, el museo Arqueológico de Atenas y su Puerto, uno de los más limpios que vi en mi vida. A todos lugares a donde fui, lo hice en excursiones guiadas, eso da mayor seguridad a la persona que viaja sola y da mayor rendimiento al tiempo y al dinero.
Un familiar me organizó el viaje, de acuerdo a mis expectativas y capacidad de pago. En aquella época, las tarjetas de crédito eran de gran utilidad para gastos excepcionales. Y las mías se reventaron, pero me dieron mucha alegría. También visité Roma, París y Madrid. En Roma, con un mapa caminé muchísimo. Pero también hice uso de las excursiones locales y trabé amistad con un grupo de argentinos que estaban haciendo turismo en Italia. El autobús turístico pasó por Pissa, Perugia, Florencia y Verona, la ciudad de Romeo y Julieta.
I have enjoyed traveling alone, for work reasons, for family visits and, mainly, to enjoy vacations; but I have also traveled accompanied by friends and family, as a couple and in groups. Traveling is my passion and I enjoy it in different situations. My first solo trip was during my first year of work vacations. I saved up the whole year for that trip. I came to Europe from Venezuela to visit places that I dreamed of knowing, such as Classical Greece, I visited the Acropolis of Athens, the Oracle of Delphi, the Archaeological Museum of Athens and its Port, one of the cleanest I have seen in my life. To all the places I went, I did it on guided excursions, that gives greater security to the person who travels alone and gives more time and money.
A relative organized the trip for me, according to my expectations and ability to pay. At that time, credit cards were very useful for exceptional expenses. And mine burst, but they gave me a lot of joy. I also visited Rome, Paris and Madrid. In Rome, with a map I walked a lot. But I also made use of the local excursions and made friends with a group of Argentines who were doing tourism in Italy. The tourist bus passed through Pissa, Perugia, Florence and Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet.
En Francia solo visité París, por supuesto su icónica Torre Eiffel y el Museo, caminé muchísimo y así pude disfrutar hermosas plazas, con sus esculturas, fuentes y jardines. En España, sólo estuve en Madrid y sus alrededores que tienen mucho para ver.
Pensaba regresar un par de años después a Francia e Inglaterra, pero... Venezuela empezó a convertirse en otra y era mucho más difícil ahorrar. Al casarme y tener mis hijos, el ahorro fue aun más difícil. Los viajes comenzaron entonces a ser más cortos y para los cuatro. Mi pareja y los niños. El disfrute es diferente, es disfrutar y ver disfrutar a los pequeños, por eso hay que disfrutar las cosas cuando tenemos la oportunidad y entender que cada etapa tiene su encanto. Así sucede con los viajes, si una va sola, el mayor encanto está en disfrutar los lugares y conocer personas y culturas diferentes; si una va acompañada, el mayor placer es el disfrute compartido, de lugares, comidas, personas,...¡y ver crecer y disfrutar a los hijos!, cuando se viaja con ellos.
Sola o acompañada, viajar es un regalo que hay que disfrutar y agradecer

When I got married and had my children, saving was even more difficult. The trips then began to be shorter and for the four of us. My partner and children. Enjoyment is different, it is to enjoy and see the little ones enjoy, that is why we have to enjoy things when we have the opportunity and understand that each stage has its charm. This is how it happens with trips, if one goes alone, the greatest charm is in enjoying the places and meeting different people and cultures; If one is accompanied, the greatest pleasure is the shared enjoyment of places, foods, people,... and seeing the children grow and enjoy themselves!, when traveling with them.

So true, when travelling alone or with a company, we can enjoy both in different ways. Firstly, we can focus on our own enjoyment and not have to worry about someone else's schedule. This can lead to more relaxed and enjoyable travel. Having a company allows for more conversation, activities and interaction.
