For this week @ladiesofhive contest Ladies of Hive Community Contest #70 I would like to respond to this particular question.
1️⃣ Our bodies require nourishment to thrive and we enjoy the taste of food. Keeping that in mind, if you had to choose just one food to eat for the rest of your life, what food would that be and why?
That's very difficult to decide if just one food then what it should be. It definitely has to be a superfood which would give the maximum of all nutrition that the body would need. But at the same time it is impossible to get complete nutrition from one food itself. In that case I would need to consider something that would be nutritious in maximum ways and at the same time palatable for all life. And yes I would also look at something which can be prepared in many different ways so that I would not get bored of the food.
Considering all the 3 options, I would go in for Red Lamb Meat.
If I have to go with this food for my life then I need to ensure that I consume it in the most healthiest manner, so firstly I would look at farming my own meat and not rely on any other source. I would keep a cattle of sheeps to source my own meat and ensure that they are not grain fed but 100% farm fed, because that would make a hell lot of a difference in the quality of the meat.
Lamb meat can be prepared in 100s of different ways, you can do steaks, as well as curries, baked, grill, soupy. It can be had whole, as well as shredded or minced. There are many ways in which you can prepare the meat.
Keto diet has some good health benefits, they are low carb diets and helps reduce triglyceride levels and increase the good cholesterol. Hence it would be a good option for me to consider it to eating for lifetime. Red meat are a good source of iron, protein, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, it kind of covers up a lot of nutrition.
Though it is never a good idea to consume anything in excess, because the best of superfoods can also cause harm if it is had in excess. Hence body can develop some imbalance in nutrition if any food is had in excess and so will it happen with excess consumption of Red Meat. But then I cannot think of having anything else, just the same thing for entire life. It has to be palatable also and something where I can find many different ways to prepare and so Lamb meat is my best option, but as I mentioned I will surely do my own cattle farming to ensure that I am getting the most healthy organic meat and that's it's not processed or grain fed to avoid other major health issues.
