My father died young at 50, when he was 19 and starting college. Cancer took him away in just one year. I am the second of 5 siblings, 4 of whom are women and the youngest one is male.
Mi padre murió joven a los 50 años, cuando tenia 19 y comenzaba la universidad. El cáncer se lo llevo en tan solo un año. Soy la segunda de 5 hermanos, de los cuales 4 mujeres y un solo varón el menor.
Since we were little, my father instilled in us to defend ourselves, to fight for the things we want, but above all he showed us with his example that limits are only set by us.
I particularly remember one day when he told us: "The best inheritance that I am going to leave you is to ensure that you have the best education you can afford, because that will give you the tools to defend yourself in life and make your dreams come true."
Desde pequeñas mi papa nos inculco a defendernos, luchar por las cosas que queremos, pero sobre todo nos mostro con su ejemplo que los límites, solo nos los ponemos nosotros.
Recuerdo en particular un día que nos dijo: “La mejor herencia que les voy a dejar es procurar que tengan la mejor educación que pueda pagar, porque eso les dará las herramientas para que se defiendan en la vida y puedan hacer sus sueños realidad”.
He kept his word and I always try that my brothers and I have the best education possible and thanks to that, today his children are successful professionals, each one in their area.
My father did not finish high school because he had to work from the age of 16 to help his parents, that did not prevent him from taking courses and being the best in his area, he was an operator of power plants in the oil industry . This allowed him to value education and passed it on to his daughters.
Cumplió su palabra y siempre procuro que mis hermanos y yo tuviéramos la mejor educación posible y gracias a eso, el día de hoy sus hijos son profesionales exitosos cada uno en su área.
Mi padre no termino la secundaria porque tuvo que trabajar desde los 16 años para ayudar a sus padres, eso no impidió que hiciera cursos y fuera en su área el mejor, era operador de plantas eléctricas en la industria petrolera. Esto le permitió valorar la educación y nos los trasmitió a sus hijas.
I graduated as an economist and I work managing a dialysis unit, I have 16 years in this company and it has taught me to work there, the importance of family, to value the things we have and to tell people that we love how valuable they are because life can be short and fleeting.
Me gradúe de economista y trabajo administrando una unidad de diálisis, tengo 16 años en esta empresa y me ha enseñado el trabajar allí, la importancia de la familia, en valorar las cosas que tenemos y decir a las personas que queremos lo valiosas que son porque la vida puede ser corta y efímera.

Muy hermoso en verdad el esfuerzo que hacen los padres por brindarles estudios a sus hijos, muchas veces ellos no lograron graduarse porque tuvieron que trabajar desde muy jóvenes. De alto valor el mensaje de tu padre @neiraurdaneta bendiciones.
Gracias por leerme, así es cuando somos muy jóvenes no nos damos cuenta del sacrificio que ellos hacen y solo al crecer es que ves todo y agradeces los maravillosos padres que te tocaron. Saludos :)
