Hi everyone! This is my very first time participating in the Ladies of Hive Community Contest, and I’m so happy to finally be part of it. I’ve seen a few entries before now, and I’ve always admired how women come together here to share, support, and learn from one another. It feels great to join this amazing space.
Now to the topic - my most recent favorite things to do.
One thing I find myself doing a lot these days is researching on the internet. I’m someone who gets curious very easily. It could be something I saw in a movie, heard during a conversation, or just a random word or topic that caught my attention. The moment that happens, I go straight to the internet to learn more about it. I use platforms like YouTube, Pinterest, Google, and even some AI tools to dig deep and find answers.
Sometimes I end up spending hours just jumping from one topic to another. It could be topics about fashion, history, lifestyle, health, random fun facts, or even how-to videos. Learning new things makes me feel good, and I enjoy that feeling of discovery. It’s like opening a new window in my mind every time.
Another favorite thing I enjoy lately is watching series, especially Korean dramas. I also love other types like Black American high school series, Hollywood series, South African shows, and some interesting Nollywood teen series, but Korean dramas are my absolute favorite! I like the way they combine strong emotions, deep stories, and beautiful cinematography.
My favorite genres are thriller, high school, mystery, romance, and action. I love shows that keep me thinking or leave me surprised, and Korean dramas do that so well. Sometimes I get so into a show that I stay up late just to watch “one more episode”, which always turns into three more 😅.
These two activities - researching online and watching good series, help me relax, learn, and enjoy my free time. They are my little escape from the busyness of everyday life.

I am exactly the same! Whether it's merely looking-up a word in a dictionary or reading a whole Wikipedia page about some topic, I do it every day! And I have crawled into so many "rabbit holes" along the way, bouncing from one topic to another! 😁
When I was a child, I'd always ask "Why?" because I sincerely wanted to know how things worked, why things happened the way they did. I was born before the Internet, but my parents had a full encyclopedia set. I spent hours reading them. At the end of each article, they would show a "See also..." selection of related topics, so I'd turn to those, too. My parents had to actually chase me outdoors to get some fresh air most days! 😂 It's always great to find another curious girl here!

I don't know so much about encyclopedia because I probably was still very little when that was an option but I'm glad you could find your answers with it.

Oh wow, this would have been so much fun in those days (grandma😁), 30 books in total? 😲 I'm totally in awe, it would have been so much fun to go through those books one after the other.

It's a big world out there to explore so have fun, and use your critical thinking skills and common sense as well, there is a lot sketchy things out there too.
