You have no idea what parenting means until you become one, Until then. Most people still think parenting is all about the father providing for the family while the mother takes care of the children at home but believe me, it is deep, deeper than you could imagine.
Come close let's take a look at Parenting as a government sector. It is like being the President to a particular country, if anything eventually goes wrong with its citizens, the government will be held responsible for not being there... just like the president, so is parenting, we are responsible for our children's life.
Parenting comes with so many qualities but out of this so many, there are some three most pivotal qualities that a parent must possess, yes, it is a must and once you lack these three, your parenting is incomplete.
I'm sure you must have been curious by now to know what the three most pivotal qualities are. Hehe! Oya naw, come on Let's ride on to it
First, it is
- Communication; As a parent, it is very important for us to build a bridge where our children can cross and come to us anytime, any day. We must always open a room for communication because it is through this communication that we will get to know and connect with our children.
And when we talk about communication, this means giving you child quality time no matter how busy you get. It shouldn't always be a phone to phone communication, make it physical and human. Giving you child time equals being playful with them, a good parent doesn't have to be strict always.

Also, Communication birth listening, as a parent, we should always know that our children too have a story to share, how their day went in school, or what they dreamt about, giving our children listening ears is a way of building a strong bond with them.
A parent must be a good role model; You will agree with me that, 80% of the characters children exhibit is from their parents. Children learn by observation and trust me, it will come as a shock to you as to how they are doing exactly what you do. That is why, we must be mindful of the kind of life we live in front of our children. We must set ourselves as good examples to them.
Be a Teacher; I know this has not been been easy with some parents as they are always on the desk working but answer this if you are on this table with this parents;
Who do you expect to teach your child the good morals of life if you are always busy?
Do you know some children have to grow on their own because their parents were not always having time for them? And sincerely, I give kudos to such children who at the end of the day still struggle to live right. This role is a must for every parents, our children after coming back from school also needs home training and it's important for a parent to be there to teach them.

I like the way you relate parenting to being the president of a nation. In our different homes, parents are the president and vice president of their citizens called children and so, the need to have good qualities to lead them well
Communication, role model and teaching are good qualities every parents needs to have. You can't instill good morals on the kids without quality communication, you can't tell a child not to lie and u are lying , and of course, we should always be there to teach and direct them rightly.

Listening is no doubt an important factor of communication. Without listening to the other person’s point of view you can never attempt to understand them.
I agree to the point that communication is of immense importance inmaking a steong bond with your kids. Lack in communication is likely to weaken our bond over time.
Kids do imitate us. There is no second opinion about it. We need to be cautious about our behaviors in front of our kids.
Teaching good conduct and morals is the responsibility of the parents. School is merely a support. The root lies in parenting.

Parenting isn't a mere joke oo. It takes a whole lot! Communication is very important as a parent to your children. When parents have time for the kids, they learn to discuss issues with them freely and know them more. But when parents allow children to grow and learn life their own way, it becomes hard for such a child to still remain responsible to himself or herself and even the society.
So, also is exercising good morals and serving as role models to them. They quickly observe and do what they see their parents doing and parents should be careful in that aspect.

If you're a parent, then you a Teacher by default. It's quite natural and there are always resources available. One thing I learned is that there is a time when my son's min switches over from taking in information and memory to abstract thinking. Asking questions that I can answer but best is finding the answers together. I learned to recognize teaching opportunities and techniques. Much of my experience is in the form of oral and visual communication since my sons have dyslexia.
