Hello everyone, this is my first time posting here and I'm super happy to participate in this contest. 'If I could get a second chance at something what would it be'?
If I could get a second chance at life, I would choose to be born into a more comfortable family, one that I will not have to depend on farm work to survive, one that I will not have to struggle finiancially. Please join me as I share my thoughts on this contest round 265 that is hosted by the community Ladies Of Hive and questionered by @saffisara
I imagine a home where my parents had the means to provide the basic things I needed like stability, guidance, and the freedom to dream beyond the limits of my environment.
In this second chance, my parents would have been able to support me through every stage of my education, from my earliest school days until the highest level of learning I wished to reach.
With that foundation, my paths would have been different, I wouldn't have feel pressured to marry in my early twenties simply because I could no longer continue with the hardship. Instead, I would have had the time to grow myself, to discover myself, to build myself and build a future for myself and my loved ones a future that is based on choice not on necessity. I would have pursued a better life that is shaped by opportunities, not on limitation.
In this version of my life, I would have work in a white collar profession, using my skills and knowledge to create stability for myself and for my family. I imagine waking up each day knowning that my hard work not hardship, defines my journey.
A second chance would have not erase who I am today, but it would have given me the kind of start that allows a person to rise without carrying so much weight. And with that start, I believe I could have become an even stronger, more accomplished version of myself.

I cooked for 500 guest soup and rice
I think you are better than you know, and I wish you had a start in life that wasn't heavy and where you could find yourself in your choice of life. But reading this I can tell that despite of the rough start you had, you are doing well and are such a wonderful person 🩷
Love the pictures alot and that is the biggest cooking Saucepan I ever seen.. What are you cooking?

True life has not been easy for you my friend, and all you ever desired wasn't available. However, that same life and challenges has made you a strong lady, you have actually come out polished and strong, sometimes life allows us to go through some certain challenges for a better things ahead.
Please that jollof party rice and Egusi soup is surely looking yummy from here, and I'm definitely sure is gonna taste delicious too.

Uh uh, that's so sweet ❤️🥰. I have a lot of distractions lately. God says he will never allow us to go through challenges we can't handle, I'm having a few of them, and they are really taking a great deal of my time and attention, definitely away from Hive. This post is an excellent, sincere reflection on the burden of birth conditions. Poverty, farm work, lack of educational support, and pressure to marry early can have a significant impact.
