✦ "If you could get a second chance at something, what would it be?" ✦
La perspectiva de una segunda oportunidad me emociona mucho, creo que aunque no podemos controlarlo todo en esta vida y existe realmente el final para algunas cosas, para muchas otras también existe una segunda oportunidad y la posibilidad de ella depende de tus acciones: ¿Las segundas oportunidades llegan solas?, no lo sé, pero lo que sí se es que si tienes iniciativa y trabajas mucho, si te enfocas con perseverancia y sinceridad, muchas puertas se abrirán para ti e incluso volverás a ver muchos trenes que creías pasarían una sola vez en la vida.
The prospect of a second chance excites me greatly. I believe that although we cannot control everything in life and some things truly do come to an end, for many other things there is also a second chance, and the possibility of it depends on your actions: Do second chances come on their own? I don't know, but what I do know is that if you take initiative and work hard, if you focus with perseverance and sincerity, many doors will open for you, and you will even see many trains again that you thought would only pass once in a lifetime.
Me gustaria tener una segunda oportunidad para considerar de nuevo una carrera en bellas artes o en atletismo. Lo primero dependería de qué tan bien logro administrar mi tiempo respecto a mi trabajo actual, y lo segundo dependería de cómo evolucione mi salud en los próximos meses. Una segunda oportunidad para escoger mi propósito de vida me haría muy feliz, me gradué de la universidad en el año 2014 y por supuesto que me siento orgullosa por eso (y todo lo que he hecho hasta hoy día), pero con los años te aseguro que vas a conocer y descubrir cosas en ti que tu yo de hace 15 o 20 años no hubiera considerado, en mi caso, lo mucho que me gustan los proyectos sociales y el voluntariado.
I would like to have a second chance to reconsider a career in fine arts or athletics. The former would depend on how well I manage my time with regard to my current job, and the latter would depend on how my health evolves in the coming months. A second chance to choose my purpose in life would make me very happy. I graduated from college in 2014, and of course I am proud of that (and everything I have done to date), but over the years, I assure you that you will learn and discover things about yourself that your 15- or 20-year-old self would not have considered. In my case, it was how much I enjoy social projects and volunteering.
La vocación y la profesión no son lo mismo, una segunda oportunidad para considerar opciones es lo que yo escogería (y de hecho estoy escogiendo actualmente), un poco mas de arte en mi vida, y una alta dosis de atención para los que no tienen voz (los animales). Esa sería mi elección si hablamos de una segunda oportunidad.
A vocation and a profession are not the same thing. A second chance to consider my options is what I would choose (and in fact, what I am currently choosing): A little more art in my life and a large dose of attention for those who have no voice (animals). That would be my choice if we were talking about a second chance.

✦ "Do you feel older or younger for your age?" ✦
Me siento mas joven para lo que debería a mi edad, pero soy perfectamente conciente que eso se debe a 2 cosas:
La primera es la protección y a todos los cuidados que me ha brindado mi familia cuando era mas joven, por lo que siempre estare agradecida. Y la segunda es por mi personalidad, que si bien no tolero las injusticias, al mismo tiempo me gusta analizar y abordar las situaciones de manera razonable, y eso me ha ahorrado muchos disgustos y malentendidos a través de los años (ademas de tener una conciencia tranquila).
Hay personas que desde muy jóvenes deben enfrentarse a una gran cantidad de retos y situaciones altamente desafiantes y estresantes que hacen que su personalidad y mentalidad deban adaptarse para superarlas o al menos sobreponerse y poder asi seguir adelante.
También físicamente tus experiencias y modo de vida tienen mucho que ver en cómo tu cuerpo se ve y se siente (o como dice mi mamá, no es lo mismo envejecer sentado en tu casa, a envejecer expuesto caminando todos los días al sol).
No me siento de mi edad aunque soy conciente de la edad que tengo y estoy feliz y contenta con ese número, no me acompleja y lejos de eso siento gran expectativa a medida que me acerco a los 40.
Soy conciente todos los días de lo afortunada que he sido con "las cartas que me tocaron" y siempre doy las gracias por eso, por esta sensación de juventud y la perspectiva de todo lo que aun me queda por hacer.
I feel younger than I should at my age, but I am perfectly aware that this is due to two things:
The first is the protection and care my family gave me when I was younger, for which I will always be grateful. And the second is my personality. Although I do not tolerate injustice, I like to analyze and approach situations in a reasonable manner, and that has saved me a lot of upset and misunderstandings over the years (as well as giving me a clear conscience).
There are people who, from a very young age, have to face a lot of challenges and highly stressful situations that force their personality and mindset to adapt in order to overcome them, or at least cope with them and be able to move on.
Physically, your experiences and lifestyle also have a lot to do with how your body looks and feels (or as my mom says, it's not the same to grow old sitting at home as it is to grow old exposed to the sun every day).
I don't feel my age, although I am aware of how old I am and I am happy and content with that number. It doesn't bother me and, far from it, I feel great anticipation as I approach 40.
Every day, I am aware of how fortunate I have been with the “cards I was dealt,” and I am always grateful for that, for this feeling of youth and the prospect of everything I still have left to do.

It is good to have the courage to re-direct your life, regardless of your chronological age. You might find you will do this several times throughout your life; not because you can't make up your mind so much as the times and life circumstances make it happen.
