Every time I go to Asia, I find that things move very quickly. Each time I would learn new trends and sometimes get puzzled as to why they are trending right now. One which I wish I could read in Thai is the amount of comics and novels being published from webtoons. There are many good stories out there and we rarely get to see them in English but publishers are willing to give them a go in Thai or another Asian language. And of course, the huge amount of BL comics and novels are also available at such a low price. We have them in Australia in English but the prices for each column are just not worth the price at all.
One trend that is going crazy in Thailand mainly is Pop Mart and Lababu. It all started when Lisa from Blackpink who happened to be Thai was carrying a Lababu from Pop Mart and every human in Thailand would want one. Pop Mart is available in Australia and to me, it's an overpriced shop selling cheaply made blind box toys in Thailand, people will line up to get into these shops. Most of these products are sold out regardless of whether they are Labubu or the other ranges. Labubu are now selling online for hundreds and people still buy them. Nearly all celebrities in Thailand are either holding one or talking about it so these little key rings are just the hottest things at the moment.

That's interesting. Some people are easily drawn to what's new and trending :) Sad though that they don't have English versions of those comic books and novels.
yah i wish they do some day have a translation version
It's interesting how trends catch on so quickly, especially with celebrities driving the hype. It's a shame about the language barrier for those comics and novels though. The place looks very cool
