En esta grata oportunidad, quiero compartir con ustedes mi participación en el concurso comunitario número 263, donde responderé a la segunda pregunta: ¿Consideras que fracasar es menos, igual o más importante que tener éxito en esta vida, y por qué? I firmly believe that failure is an essential part of life, as we cannot live only happy moments. One of the best teachers is failure, although its interpretation is entirely subjective and depends heavily on the meaning we give it. For some, failure is an imminent defeat; for others, it is the beginning of a new opportunity. There are those who face it with complete stoicism. It all depends on the perspective from which we view it, but it is necessary to understand that failure sometimes helps us move forward and always offers us a lesson. Although its root may be negative, it can contain a positive undercurrent.
Creo firmemente que el fracaso es una parte esencial de la vida, ya que no podemos vivir únicamente momentos felices. Uno de los mejores maestros es el fracaso, aunque su interpretación sea totalmente subjetiva y dependa mucho del significado que le demos. Para algunos, el fracaso es una derrota inminente; para otros, es el inicio de una nueva oportunidad. Hay quienes lo afrontan con total estoicismo. Todo depende de la perspectiva desde la que lo miremos, pero es necesario comprender que el fracaso, a veces, nos ayuda a seguir adelante y siempre nos ofrece una lección. Aunque su raíz sea negativa, puede contener un trasfondo positivo.
I don't think failure is any less important than success in life; I'd say they go hand in hand, because sometimes we can find success in our failures. A bad experience might be the learning we needed to improve something about ourselves or in some kind of business. A loss might also provide us with a valuable lesson that serves us well on the path ahead, and there are countless examples like this. I believe everything in life is about fairness; we can't always maintain winning streaks, sometimes it's necessary to fall and get back up stronger. This is because, in certain aspects, human beings are somewhat masochistic and ungrateful; we learn from misfortunes, and sometimes we don't even value the things and people we have in our lives until a disastrous event occurs that forces us to do one of two things: start valuing them from that very moment or simply live with the absence of that loss. Therefore, failure in all areas is necessary; we can't live on winning streaks forever, because we wouldn't learn.
No creo que sea menos importante que tener éxito en la vida; diría que van de la mano, porque a veces en los fracasos podemos encontrar el éxito. Puede ser que una mala experiencia sea el aprendizaje que necesitábamos para mejorar algo en nosotros o en algún tipo de negocio. También puede ser que una pérdida nos brinde una valiosa lección que nos sirva para el camino más adelante, y así hay muchísimos casos. Creo que todo en esta vida se trata de equidad; no siempre podemos mantener rachas buenas, a veces es necesario caer y levantarnos con más fuerza. Esto se debe a que, en ciertos aspectos, el ser humano es algo masoquista y desagradecido; aprendemos de las desgracias y, a veces, ni siquiera valoramos las cosas y personas que tenemos en nuestra vida hasta que ocurre un evento desastroso que nos obliga a hacer dos cosas: empezar a valorar desde ese mismo instante o simplemente vivir con la ausencia de esa pérdida. Por lo tanto, el fracaso en todos los ámbitos es necesario; no podemos vivir de rachas buenas por toda la eternidad, ya que no aprenderíamos.
And beyond simple learning, there's also that blow we need to temper ourselves. Just as wine is obtained by extracting fruit, diamonds are forged under pressure, and the most beautiful jewels, along with swords and artifacts, undergo several forging sessions. Sometimes, when the blade bends, it must be tempered again. Similarly, it happens in our lives: sometimes failure helps us and is synonymous with keeping our emotions under control, knowing how to handle ourselves under pressure, and polishing our full potential. It's a lie that we'll achieve this in our comfort zone; we must always step outside of it to expose ourselves to difficult situations and compelling tests, where determination, courage, bravery, and faith are our only weapons. And although it sounds cliché, human beings need pain to forge themselves; they need that fire of motivation, pain, and despair to bring out the best in themselves. This doesn't always happen; some people get stuck in the forge forever and can't get out. That's why these are difficult tests that not everyone can overcome. We can all fall through the wide funnel, but when it comes to getting out through the narrow part, not everyone succeeds, and that's where our willpower comes into play.
Veamos los fracasos más allá de lo negativo, como una nueva oportunidad de aprendizaje y adaptación. El 90% de nuestro éxito será determinado por la perspectiva y la actitud que tengamos para enfrentar las situaciones. El simple hecho de convertir un mal momento en algo provechoso es una ganancia. Y esto no se logra de la noche a la mañana; son muchos años aprendiéndolo, poniéndolo en práctica, aceptando y siguiendo adelante. Las derrotas son sinónimo de prontas victorias. Es nuestra elección si nos quedamos derrotados en el campo de batalla o nos levantamos y seguimos luchando, pues esa es la única verdad que tenemos en esta vida y es lo que nos llevaremos en el momento de la muerte.
