Aftermath of our decisions. # LOH173

in Ladies of Hive3 months ago

This week topic on ladies on hive contest #173 has really got me in a different way that I will want to write on both topics because they capture what's really going on in our everyday life, but I will rather choose the second topic which says
Nowadays, premarital sex is rampant among young people. What if you got pregnant, and encountered rude in-laws with a partner who is incapable of standing by himself or standing up for you? Would you rather endure their maltreatment, or walk out on your relationship and raise your child alone? Why?

I will start with the first word
Nowadays, premarital sex is rampant among young people
premarital sex has always been rampant even in the old days base on some of the stories our parents and elder ones told us, it's not something that just started now, people has always been engaging in premarital sex, so when they say it's nowadays thing, I just smile and be like it has always been, the only difference now is that people don't hide to do it anymore, they now do it openly like they don't even care. Guys these days rarely ask a lady if she's a virgin, they would rather ask her what her body count is, if they can cope with it.

What if you got pregnant, and encountered rude in-laws with a partner who is incapable of standing by himself or standing up for you.

I believe getting pregnant is a choice, you don't get pregnant by mistake, when you encounter rude in-laws all depends on your definition for being rude, probably they don't like you and you would have seen the signs all these while, you just choose to ignore, before I date someone, I always ask myself can I marry this person,? is this person a man of his words,? is he a mummys boy,? is he capable enough to even stand by me in difficult times? these are what most ladies don't do before jumping on bed with a guy, count your cost before engaging in a premarital sex.

Would you rather endure their maltreatment, or walk out on your relationship and raise your child alone? Why?

Choosing to endure maltreatment is a choice, but I won't advise you to do it, it is better to walk away than to stay, there's a proverbs that says, it better to have a kind inlaw than to have a good husband, because your husband who's their son can easily be influenced by their kindness and vice versa, if your in-laws are maltreating you and your so called baby daddy can't stand by you kindly walk away, it won't be easy but it's the best decision, you will look back and be thankful you actually walked away.

I read an anonymous story of a lady who walked away from a relationship she entered after her national diploma and she was just 20,the relationship turned into an abusive one and she left when she could today her child is 8years old, she was able to further her education and now has a skill and a good job, if she decided to stay in that abusive marriage she might not be alive today, if she is, she might have phycological problems.
it is better to leave and try your best to take care of yourself and your child for the sake of those who loves you and for your own mental health.

Sincerely, staying in an abusive relationship is not best, but sometimes, we ladies are blind by the word "things will change" yes change is good but the only thing that prompt change is our actions.

Yes 👍 ladies think a grown man will change overnight.
