Durante la mayor parte de mi vida, llevé una vida muy ajustada a los que mis padres me mostraban y me enseñaban, lo cual les agradezco enormemente porque gracias a ello logré forjar mi personalidad e identidad. Pero al llegar a la universidad me enfrenté a otra realidad, una donde mis papás ya no me sostenían ni cuidaban constantemente sino una donde yo misma empezaba a ser mi propio soporte, eso fue un gran descubrimiento para mí, sobretodo en lo personal, pues conocí muchas cosas de mi, capacidades, gustos y desarrollé otros. Me hice vegetariana, conocí al que hoy en día sigue siendo mi compañero de vida y eso me hace sentir muy afortunada.
For most of my life, I led a life very adjusted to what my parents showed me and taught me, which I am very grateful to them because thanks to them I was able to forge my personality and identity. But when I got to college I faced another reality, one where my parents no longer supported and cared for me constantly but one where I myself began to be my own support, that was a great discovery for me, especially personally, because I learned many things about myself, capabilities, tastes and developed others. I became a vegetarian, I met the man who today is still my life partner and that makes me feel very fortunate.
Al finalizar la universidad supe que no ejercería mi carrera, me dediqué a volver a descubrir el mundo, empecé a explorar las artes, realicé varios cursos entre ellos: pintura, dibujo, poesía, música, exploré muchas cosas, conocí personas fascinantes que hicieron me enamorara de un estilo de vida diferente y fue en ese entonces donde me topé con la fotografía, descubrí que a través de ella lograba sentir y descubrir cosas en mí y del mundo que me rodeaba pero todo visto desde ese visor de la cámara, con el tiempo decidí que a eso era lo que me quería dedicar. Y así sucedió, en aquel momento trabajaba en una tienda diseñando cocinas, me iba muy bien económicamente pero no me hacía sentir cómoda el estar sometida a esas rutinas extenuantes de horarios, así que lo dejé, y me lancé de manera independiente a ofrecer mis servicios para sesiones de fotografía, empecé con una página de facebook, allí subía todas las fotos que hacía y de esa manera fue como inicié un camino de trabajadora independiente que hasta ahora se mantiene.
At the end of college I knew I would not practice my career, I dedicated myself to rediscover the world, I began to explore the arts, I took several courses including: painting, drawing, poetry, music, I explored many things, I met fascinating people who made me fall in love with a different lifestyle and it was then that I came across photography, I discovered that through it I could feel and discover things in me and the world around me but all seen from the viewfinder of the camera, eventually I decided that this was what I wanted to dedicate myself. And so it happened, at that time I was working in a store designing kitchens, I was doing very well economically but I did not feel comfortable to be subjected to those exhausting routines of schedules, so I left, and I launched myself independently to offer my services for photography sessions, I started with a facebook page, there I uploaded all the photos I took and that was how I started a path of independent worker that so far remains.
Hago muchas cosas para mantener mi estilo de vida, sigo realizando sesiones fotográficas, ofrezco asesorías para la presencia de las marcas en el mundo digital, también tengo un emprendimiento de productos artesanales que comparto como mi pareja y escribo en este blog.
I do many things to maintain my lifestyle, I continue to do photo shoots, I offer consulting for the presence of brands in the digital world, I also have an entrepreneurship of handmade products that I share as my partner and I write in this blog.
Me siento muy afortunada de poder mantener un estilo de vida ajustado a mis principios y creencias, aunque reconozco que el sistema social en el que vivimos no está diseñado para los freelancers y muchas cosas se complican en ocasiones pero aún así cada día de mi vida elijo vivirlo de esta manera y eso me hace feliz y mucho más poder compartirlo con la persona que amas. Como todo tiene sus altos y bajos, pero depende de cada uno de nosotros aprender a surfear la ola de la vida de emprendedor la cual está llena de incertidumbre de manera constante.
I feel very fortunate to be able to maintain a lifestyle in line with my principles and beliefs, although I recognize that the social system in which we live is not designed for freelancers and many things are complicated at times but still every day of my life I choose to live it this way and that makes me happy and much more to be able to share it with the person you love.
