I think the apps make this list less interesting because they automatically add tags. I would rather see a filter where you can type in your desired tag.

Adding all tags/communities as default, I don't think it should change. But then, if each user wants to configure, then yes. So, opt-out kind
You can already select a tag... by doing like this...

The problem is that this only selects 1 tag or 1 community.
