Southern United States in North Carolina - we usually see them mid-February.
I'll go out and check our beds and see if they look like they are close.
You are a bit more south than I am (the Netherlands). I would expect them to show up earlier where you are...
It may the varieties you have are slightly more cold-adapted. The first textual reference I can find to daffodils in North Carolina are in 1759 - http://www.southernedition.com/DaffodilsinEarlySouthernGardens.html
