I've just run into a Czech company manufacturing simple caravanboxes, suitable for a couple, and rather comfy, for only like $4k. Any car can tow these. Sounds like something for this summer!

Interesting. It looks like the box can be uncoupled from the trailer. Is the price for the box or the whole setup?
It's for the box only - CZK 105k plus VAT, about $4.4k as of today. You can use any trailer, or buy the one you see on the picture for aditional CZK 22k, or about $1k.

I've looked at some high clearance trailers here in the states to tow behind my jeep but hadn't seen anything like this. I have an existing utility trailer I could possibly repurpose for something like this. Will have to dig around the internet some more. :)

Oh, and yes, it can stand alone on these pillars you can see on some of the photos.
