Snakehead and Catfish can survive a few days without water. i remember how i catched these during my childhood in Kazakhstan. especially the Snakehead - its some kind of mutation of the fish and snake with the adult dog's teeths.
hahaha !
nope, in the whole "USSR" territory,Snakehead is available only in the southern republics like Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan in the big rivers - Syr Darya and Amu Daria, coming from China - the origin of this fish
That's indeed the problem. Although I like the idea @victorbz, it might be a bit difficult for some people. Although I would allow painted fishes, statues and toys as well.
But even then it might not be that accessible for everyone.
indeed, but its almost the same about every subject :-)
btw fish is available in every story, and the fish in the shop counter is also fish, as well like one is printed on the bathroom curtain.
i think that i have one-two-three images of fishes, it was just an idea, not because i have something ready for the post.
and from another point of view - the contests, they are for challenging and inviting to search and to invest. everyone has another black and white image for the next "Black and White" contest.
but. i really understand you.
You're right. Too easy isn't good as well. My goal is to get people to go out and shoot and preferably not to search their archives (although joining with an photo from your archive is perfectly fine though).
Maybe I go for the fish then or something like "ANIMALS AND WATER".
hahahhaaha
FISH is the most fishy topic i knew ever.
i think that people will survive and even will find some interesting entries
Hope they won't find them early in the morning in their porches or so. That could drive one crazy.
:-}}}} a dead fishes ??? :))
How often do you find alive fishes in your backyard?

But that was just after that Chernobyl disaster, right?

Then, instead of wishful thinking, they'll have to delve into fishful thinking.
😂
It's going to be a splashy round!
