For many, they have difficulty reconciling the contemplative and the active life. If grace is confined in something private and does not influence our external duties to our families, faith communities, and the society, that is not real saving grace.
Another difference, perhaps why the natural man does not appreciate the utility of saving grace, is because it isn't profitable in the conventional sense of the word. Even the idea of utility needs to be defined.
