A troll article. Not only did the Atari 2600 has the weaker hardware, the brute force chess algorithm at that time has no match to today's ai. Even Deep Blue won't win against Stockfish running on mobile.

The comparison is incorrect even. Chat AI isn't programmed to play games like chess so it can't (can it even play blackjack?). Doesn't matter the power of the processor. I never had a Atari, but I had a "chess computer" from Radio Shack in the late 80's that provided a challenge.
