I did some squats this morning, and I'm feeling it this evening.

wow that was quick! i usually feel the pain after 2 days

I probably wasn't fully recovered from the previous session, but didn't want to skip a day. I hit some PRs in a rep range so it was a worthwhile session.

woah! that is great news. btw, when you hit a PR do you strive to do it again and again the next time? i'm the lazy gym goer if so. 😅

It depends. I don't max out often, so most of my PR's are usually doubles, two reps with the same weight, or using more weight with a set of eight. If it was a hard PR, I repeat that same loading for a session or two before attempting to add weight.

The main goal with any session is doing enough work, to have sufficient stimulus to get stronger by the next session. There is only so much you can grow or get stronger from week to week.

this is so true. and can be stressful. but then again working out is supposed to be fun.
