nah... I have used zero geotagging information (I don't think uploaded photos are carrying that when you upload them) besides your posts data and public information. A thing that I sometimes like to do, which is to guess where photos are being taken from. More like finding the caches and tagging/moving them game, where I am not posting "location" proof (if not yet suggested), but instead something only the other person can verify. To avoid invading (or perceive I am) privacy from having the skills to know how do it obviously.
For yours (its not the first time I do this from people's random photos), I only used information from your posts (mainly other pictures) to determine approximate locations, and then I had to work from google street view potential places for the angles. But its this last part that is very hard, because your comera has a very different lens from the google car, making distances and aspect ratios very different, which causes confusion in some places. But its a fun thing (for me) to do. Took me about an hour, just FYI.
AI is still worse than me at this. :D
Hopefully didn't invade too much (was only trying to expose how good your image is vs google thing, or what people have on the internet for that matter, because yours came out really nice). But yeah, makes you thinking about the tools/skills we have today to perform analysis, and I am sure the military would have been able to do this in seconds with other tools (even if I can't verify). But yeah, the New World with public Data/AI changed everything.
I think there may be a quicker way to find out a place, but I have not tried out to do it -ever, so I am not really sure if I do not try this out myself.
However I just remembered someone (I think it was on TikTok) who would challenge users to send him a short video of a place close up, and he would try to find out where it is, the fun was that he was trying to make a video where he showed the whole process. I will try to find who it was and maybe we can make it a challenge and maybe even combine it with a prediction :)
Google maps :D Yours are way better than this.
Haha really?
How did you find the exact spot? I’m just curious
I am visiting this place almost every day and many of my photos include it 😇

What do you think?
That's a really great idea... the prediction might even invite more people.
And because of the competition, people might even play against themselves! :D LOL - the rules have to be thought quite acutely.
