I don't know what's around, but that looks like an idyllic camping spot. I guess it's too close to the highway.

This is a day use beach/picnic area but there are campgrounds all along this road around the many lakes. This lake and another one also have resorts next to them. And you are right it is a beautiful place to come to camp and recreate. :)
That's perfect for the warm season.
