What camera do you have? I bought some macro extension rings which turned my zoom lens in quite a good macro lens. That was a bit cheaper than buying a macro lens.
I am currently using Fujifilm XA10 with Fujinon XC 16-50mm f/3.5-5.6 OIS II lens
