Even though we were all born with our minds and thoughts, we can not deny that almost everything we know, do and even think are influenced by what others are doing when we meet them.

How we get genius or people who act differently (in a positive way) is because they questioned the norm. If you want to do things differently, it starts with actually using a mind of your own and it means questioning what may already seem normal to those around you.

What do you think about this?

Sort:

This you said here made me remember the two genius movies that I watched about Picasso and Albert Einstein, both of them questioned the norms even though a lot of people questioned them saying they won't go far, now we know them... that is my take

I can only imagine how oddly new their actions were to the people in their time. People get too comfortable in what they already forgetting that there's a lot more to know.

It was odd at first, but they believed in themselves despite some of the challenges they faced

I think it takes a lot to believe in one self. We won't have people hungry for validation if we believed in ourselves more. Good thing they believed and got things done.

That is just the point. Always believe in yourself no matter what people say, there's a lot of power in that

That's right!

This is a great example of a successful process, where many breakthroughs begin with someone asking, What if there is something better? When you challenge the status quo, it doesn’t mean throw out everything That means develop your own thoughts, but also be open to other perspectives.

This is my thought too. Sadly, there are a lot of people who don't bother and they are stuck in even worse mindsets.

Mindset is a key, positive mindsets are preferable.

It really is, and it's requires intentionality to work on one's mindset.

We should work on that regularly for a peaceful life

Yeah, we really should.

You are absolutely right! One way or the other, everything we know was learned. Nobody popped out of the womb with even the basic knowledge of things, and that's the reason I strongly beleive that people can re-invent themselves and their mindset if they truly want to.

I mean, life is all about unlearning and relearning and it gives us so many chances to do either or both. So it's up to each one of us to put this advantage into good use.

That's right!

Yeah, anyone can do that but only few are willing to do it. It's a lot of work to shift a mindset from what feels normal and comfortable.
