It is interesting seeing auto-vote accounts that are inactive with thousands of Hive.

Maybe they'll become active one day, maybe they'll be a forever Hive blackhole.

Sort:

There are many influential accounts that have never voted again, so much HP that could be helping people is simply sitting idle... that's very sad.

Yeah, but I am not talking about those. I am talking about those following trails or delegated to curation accounts. But other than those being inactive with no signs of life.

Oh, yes, I understand better now!

Triste mesmo kkk

Não tenho mais lágrimas, haha!

there's also some that don't even autovote, only collect hp apr and give us more rewards from the curation pool :3

Yeah, I guess there are also those. I find auto-vote one's more interesting though. They are like zombies, dead but still moving. Something about them just tingles my mind.

The mystery continues.

We need a self destruct button on Hive. If no sign of life for six months, all your Hive gets burnt. Or sent to me. Yeah that works. Call me a dev.

I don't think that is a good idea lol

Why?

Why?

Would you like if your Bitcoin went away, just because you didn't enter it for 6 months? You probably wouldn't. So same for Hive.

Yes but there's a social responsibility here too. It depends on users feeling as if they have a place. Not hard to participate..And if you're dead, and no one claims your Hive, or you've lost your keys, what's the issue?

What social responsibility?

And if you're dead, and no one claims your Hive, or you've lost your keys, what's the issue?

Every Hive has an impact on the chain. So it would be an issue.

You're forgetting about the social factor.

Social factor has nothing to do with how much Hive you have

No, and how do you explain the HIVE amount you earn because of the work done by other users?

Indeed.

Good idea.

Maybe lost their keys... 😔

Could be, but since they setup a vote trail or delegated to curation accounts. These accounts are still accumulating Hive/HP. And I think that is interesting.

it is, like a ghost...

It's a possibility.

What do you mean by inactive? Are they still voting?

They are still voting because they set-up a trail, or receive curation rewards because they delegated to a curation account.

But other than that no activity. No posts/comments, no power-ups or withdrawals.

Whether good or bad, it could be HIVE being burned.

If they continue voting, it's valid.
