Logging was definitely what built this city. Luckily the economy has adapted and now tourism and outdoor sports are major draws.
The Old Mill District is now retail space with lots of walking paths along with an amphitheater that draws major acts.

It's really cool to know that, even though it's no longer in operation, it's a good place to attract tourism to the city.
I confess that I didn't know much about Oregon, but thanks to you I'm getting to know this state a little better.
