Put simply, your VP recharges in a flat rate of 20% per 24 hours. A 100% upvote always costs you 2% of the total VP (unlike up until the fork). That effectively means that you can distribute 10 full upvotes a day to keep your VP stabilized. Or one thousand 1% upvotes. Or any combination.
It was supposed to be more intuitive, but franky, I like the old model way better. And it felt more natural to me.
Thx for that info. The new model does seem a little confining for someone like me and the amount of HP I have. Leaving a .02 vote to avoid dust issues seems to limit the number of votes a day I will have available.
I agree the old way seems more natural for curating manually.
The dust threshold remains, but it feels higher due to the recent drop in price. I guess it would harm short content and replies in long term, at least until we get back to over 20 cents.
