Contrast with the desert and the snowy mountain in the background!
You can also see the start of the pine forest on the east slopes of the mountains. That forest will gradually change to more of a fir type forest as it crosses over to the west side of the Cascade mountain range.
With that sky, the photo is even more beautiful.
That mountain in the background of the photo looks like it has whipped cream on it hahaha...
