Smith Rock State Park in #CentralOregon. Taken on a #hike in 2018. Hopefully areas like this can be protected from the US government's proposed plan to sell off public lands.

The perspective and composition and colors -- the muted palette is still striking!

I agree, winter on the high desert has its own special beauty. This was taken in February.

WOW -- Oregon not in the rain but in that level of sunshine in FEBRUARY? Who woulda thunk it?

They tout 300 days of sunshine here in Central Oregon but I think they count any day that the sun pops out even if full on clouds all day. lol. That being said definitely more sun over here than where I came from on the west side.

Like we snap photographs for postcards in San Francisco on the six non-foggy days per year near Golden Gate Park ... I get it!

Lol. Yep, that's it.

Great place to have a hike and explore the area! Stunning views :)

You are absolutely correct!

those boulders are huge.. look at those pine trees!

I don't think there are any in this picture but sometimes there are climbers on the cliff faces.

So those are cliffs...not boulders X)

Yep.

It's a little blurry but if you zoom in at the base of the cliffs, kind of center left, you can see two people walking on the trail for size comparison.

Quite a spectacular view!

There are a lot of them there. :)
