Thank you! The river itself literally starts flowing out of the rock a few miles upstream. Lots of underground rivers in the lava rock around here.
So, you're telling me it has both headwaters and shoulder waters, eh?
Haha yes. It is a full bodied river. It even has an arm further down stream where it feeds into a lake. ;)
As in the spring water being sweet, hence Sugar Springs?

Not sure of the origin of the name. Maybe the white water coming out of the mountain looks like sugar? 🤷♂
