Nature's clean up crew resting in a tree. Spotted these Turkey Vultures on a walk one morning. Even with my zoom lens they were way high in this dying tree. The cropped second shot shows how I am receiving the evil eye from one of the #featheredfriends. 😀

I didn't know there were turkey vultures so far up north. They're strange looking birds.

Yes they are and there seems to be a lot of them. Here is an old post from a run in with them back in 2020.

Nice clean shots. Super cool!

You still got a good shot. Better watch your back after getting such evil side eye from the vulture. 😁

No kidding about my back. I haven't seen them circling the house yet so I hope I'm good. :)

😀😀😀 you should be good 👍

Pretty good shots.

Yeah, I've never been real happy with the sharpness of the photos I take with the telephoto lens. It could be my low end setup or just the abilities of the operator. lol.

I would like to try a higher end setup someday and see if it is me or the equipment. :)

Great spot... those turkey vultures do give the side-eye! 😄🦅

Yeah, with my naked eye I saw some black blobs in the tree that didn't look fight. After I saw their wings move I went and got my telephoto lens to grab some shots. Didn't see the side eye till I got home and zoomed in more. lol
