It's amazing how the fur trade influenced the history of this region, including up here in BC.
Yep, it was a pretty major thing across all the PNW. I remember a few trips to visit Ft. Vancouver back when I lived around that area.
I've got some related content about this part of history that I've been meaning to post, but I have to stop chasing my own tail to craft it right.
