I don't even know for sure what the reason was in this case, but people can make up their own minds about someone who broadcasts their opinions. I'm happy not to have leased a Tesla. Oh and I left Twitter months ago.
People aren't making up their own mind, though. They're reacting emotionally to a negative spin campaign. Elon is still the exact same person that most of these people loved 5 years ago, and Tesla is the exact same company. The only thing that changed was people's perception.
