the current algo treats trending by engagement metrics. New snap getting views and comments within a timeframe becomes trending. Its not payout related.
But, the idea is that making it more visible, results in more votes. (maybe)

I have a solar lamp just like that. I like that you can charge it via usb or via the solar panels on top. Plus it has the flashlight and lamp features. My mom gave it to me for walking back and forth between our houses. The nights are mighty dark in the quiet countryside.
