As someone living in the east coast right now, I think things vary wildly depending on where on the east coast you are. Could be anywhere from Maine to Florida. Anything south of DC I can't stand the weather(too hot).

Yes, it certainly does vary widely. I'm in North Jersey, less than an hour outside of NYC. We get all four seasons, and we can get days that start at 48f and get to 86f at random times of the year.
