i was reading about a woman made paraplegic as it was attached to a brick chimney and the chimney collapsed. Honestly I worry every time I get in one. I love them but I'm not risking my life...yet they seem so benign ... But never trust a hammock..

That's a tragic story. Maybe hammocks need a detailed manual. To be honest, I've done silly things in hammocks like wrapping myself in it and having my friends twist me so I can rapidly untwist myself usually with hilarious outcomes. π
So have we all! I never thought it'd result in death or injury though....
