I did ask about reserving three tables in the pub on the corner, the answer was yes for £100 minimum spend. It actually wouldn't be hard to spend that amount in there - two drinks cost £22 - but I wasn't going to underwrite that on my own 😂.
Oh easily, a round of drinks these days can come to at least that. My wife’s glass of wine at a pub near us was £14 on its own not so long ago. That was a country pub.
