We usually charge the electric car on cheap nighttime power, but during the day the solar and battery can supply a lot of what it draws. The running costs are much lower than petrol (or 'gas' if you prefer). #ev #solar

Sort:  

Over here we have 'free energy' hours in the weekends between 12 and 5 PM in summer.
You only pay for the transport and tax (which is half the price).
But cheap loading for your EV.

We get cheap power in the early morning when I charge the battery too. Sometimes they have free sessions.

If there had been more sun we could have charged the car and the battery. The inverter can only export 5kW.
