Given the current world situation there are good reasons to not be relying on fossil fuels. You don't have to import renewables. That can power cars too. My house is exporting 3kW to the grid right now.

I see my image in peakd, but not on hive.blog. I've heard there are issues with the Hive image server. We need that to be working, but I don't know the status.

I get paid 12p/kWh to export. Why would people get charged to do it when they are contributing something? That would kill the solar farm business.
I found this on feed-in tariffs. It seems bigger systems can get paid, but not smaller ones who seem to get nothing. Crazy.
It definitely is... a friend of ours disconnected from the grid because of this. It's a crazy world we're living in.
You could still be saving money, especially if you have a battery to use more of the power or can charge a car. You need companies who encourage solar, like Octopus who I use.
He's completely autonomous on energy. And has so much energy that the whole household is covered. boiler, washing, workshop with all the tools... etc.
