I have seen some videos of people buying old IBM thinkpads from ebay for 200 bucks, installing Arch, and running anything on them. The no bloat makes a lot more sense now.
Maybe my wifi card issue would have solvable under Arch.I could have saved myself a few bucks!
If any distro has the drivers it is arch. Old hardware arch is great for but that’s not my jam so no experience.
Arch used to be hard but it is pretty easy to get going with now.
I spent a lot of time distro hopping when I finally gave up on windows.
