Lidar is such an interesting technology, they had many accounting issues and velodyne merged or was sold, something like that, I used to track the stock ticker that faded... I'm curious why don't they apply more use at archaeological sites...
My 3d printer uses lidar to scan the first layer printed for defects. It's really an amazing technology although niche use cases.
