RE: Cursor: Why I Use AI Agent tool for Coding!

in Ecency3 months ago

Cursor used to be a great IDE, but when they started changing pricing and the lack of transparency around usage/costs and their terrible communication, I ditched it. I highly recommend ditching IDE based solutions and going for something like Warp(https://www.warp.dev/) or Claude Code, which are so much better.

I have tried claude code, gemini cli and even warp. I come back to cline and cursor over and over. I am mid aged man getting slow by life criss as is. I can't spend much time on command line. I prefer VS Code extensions and IDE like solutions more. My usage scenario fits in 500 queries just fine and it's still affordable. I am thinking about claude and gemini API though so I can use continue extension on VS Code and work with it.
