Good morning and welcome back to my blog. I am so delighted to have you in my blog topic, no meat.
I swear it will not be easy for me living the rest of my life without meat. One thing is sure: I will break the ban because there are some certain things in my life I can’t control. Meat is one thing I can’t do without, and being banned from taking it is something I can’t handle. People that are so close to me can testify how much I love meat; I always choose meat over food. Who is Cindy without meat?
Seeing this prompt, I ask myself what will really make me stop eating meat. Will it be religion, culture, health or being a vegan? I must be sincere; I can’t resist eating meat no matter what. It is very difficult for me; there are things I can beat my chest about. I can’t do it, you see. Banning me from eating meat is one thing I can’t do.
I can’t see down, and people around me are eating meat while I abstain from meat. Someone like me whose brother sells meat – how do you expect me to cope if I am banned from eating meat? I can’t imagine myself sitting with my siblings, and they are eating meat, and I am vegan. I don’t pray that life will happen to a point where I will be banned from eating meat because I know how hard it will be for me.
I respect people who abstain from eating certain foods because it is not easy. I have a friend that doesn’t eat meat. I always ask her how she copes with seeing us eat meat and not her. All she will say is, ‘It is something I have to deal with to live long.’
If the reverse should be the case and I am in my friend’s shoes, it is something I can’t do. No matter how careful I try to be, I can’t do it once. It is meat. I respect whoever that is abstaining from meat because it is not easy. I don’t even pray that I will be in a situation where I will be told not to eat meat.
I can’t even imagine my family eating and devouring their meat, and I am not – I will not lie – I will be so bitter and angry. What is food without meat? Banning me from eating this festive food is like taking a life out of me. Since 24th December, I don’t think I have eaten real food; it has always been meat, and I will be okay for you to see my love for meat. I am ready to eat meat, and I will be full.
I don’t pray that I will be in a situation that will ban me from eating meat; it will not be easy for me to do.
