My advice is to never give up or relent if your not actually seeing the upvote you need because that will really be one of the challenges to face.
Try to socialize with others by commenting on other people's post likewise responding to comments on your posts as well.
And also try to be consistent because that also will make more people to know you if you keep up the efforts on daily basis.
