Larnaca, Cyprus first graffiti hotel

in Ecency3 years ago

In the city of Larnaca near the sea (3-5 min. walk) there is a 3-star Rise Hotel.
This hotel was illuminated by a pleasant blue light.
I loved this backlight and took an evening photo. But, unfortunately, the photos turned out to be not entirely successful and I deleted them.

And the other day I decided to take a picture of this hotel again.
And I was very surprised to see the graffiti on the hotel.

But my reaction to the "painted" hotel was negative.
You may disagree with me, but for me this graffiti has a lot of black and dark tones.

I do not admire the general appearance of the building, and on the contrary, it resembles a horror movie.
I do not understand? Am I not modern?
Maybe I won't argue.
But I expressed my point of view.

Believe me, they write a lot of negative reviews.
For this reason, the project was almost closed.
Even the municipality of the city did not issue permission to paint the walls in the hotel.
But the graffiti supporters were very worried about this question: Can all the efforts of the graffiti artists be in vain and the hotel management may be asked to paint over?
Later this issue was considered by the Urban Planning Committee and the members of the Committee decided to leave the graffiti.

The hotel was painted not only outside, but also inside.
From July 1 at the Rise Hotel you can sign up for a tour of the hotel.

P.S. There was a strong international team of street artists (as they were said) working after midnight.
Because it was only at this time that the municipality of the city allowed the installation of towers for lifting artists.

The photos I were taken with a Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70L tablet

What is your opinion and perception of this graffiti? It will be interesting for me to know him.
