Welcome you all, for those that are reading this entry, My name is Yusuf Adamu, and if you’ve found your way here, you’re witnessing the start of a new chapter for yours truly,
My origin story isn’t a straight line. It’s a series of pivots, some successful and others… well, others well lets just call em lessons. But as I stand here today, im a computer science graduate with a UK Master’s degree and a failed agribusiness (Fishery) venture under my belt, to be precise.
I’ve always been a "logic" person, and sometimes I do consider myself to be a liberal. To be honest I just found myself studying computer science, it wasn’t rwally much of my choice……… If youre from African or Asian homes youll understand. My undergraduate years in Nigeria were a whirlwind of data structures and the relentless pursuit of solving problems through a keyboard.

Hungry for more and the opportunity presented by my dear paresnts. I moved to the United Kingdom to pursue my MScor masters. Living and studying in the UK was a transformative experience, i loved every bit, it was like a breath of fresh air to be honest. Honestly if you can afford it traveling is one thing id highly recommend, even though this was some years ack I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was exposed to a global standard of excellence and a different way of thinking about the world. Don’t even get me started about the culture shocks. I returned home with a degree in hand and a head full of dreams.
I’ve always had an entrepreneurial itch. I wasn’t really built for 9 – 5 life honestly. I didn’t want to just be a man whose life was based on a routine. I wanted to build something of my own, hire people , help others. Looking around at the economic landscape, I saw the booming interest in agriculture. "People must eat," I thought. It seemed like a foolproof plan.

I decided to venture into fish farming. I approached it like a programmer. I looked at the spreadsheets, I calculated the growth rates, I factored in the cost of feed against the projected market price per kilogram, and the numbers looked beautiful. “On paper”, I was going to be a "fish tycoon" within eighteen months……..
The venture capitulated. I watched as my investment, and my high hopes sank. Looking back, the failure wasn't due to bad luck to be honest it was due to a lack of market experience. I had fallen in love with the projections rather than learn the practical process involved. I hadn't spent enough time on the ground, talking to buyers, understanding the volatility of feed prices, or realizing that "the numbers" are only as good as the market's willingness to pay.
I learned the hard way
After the dust settled on the fish farm, I transitioned back into the corporate world. I secured a job that aligns with my professional background, and for that, I am incredibly grateful. It provides stability and a sense of routine. However, I found myself facing a problem I have too much free time and i dare say i do not like being idle, for as they say am idle mind is the devils workshop. For me It feel like wasted potential. I knew I needed a creative outlet, something that would allow me to leverage my background in tech and business while challenging me or keeping me engaged. That’s when a friend introduced me to this platform. @avataraang1 At first, I was a lurker.... I spent some time reading posts from people all over the world and I saw the potential, i haven’t really dabbled in the crypto space but this was a good, almost risk free way to start. In the modern world, if you can’t communicate your ideas, your ideas don’t exist. This blog is my laboratory. It is the place where I will practice my writing as much as i can, and i hope i can air out my opinions freely. Thank you for reading my very first post. This is the first of many. Let’s build, learn, and grow together. Stay blessed!!!!
