3-Way Chess Tactics .:. WorkerBee PH-Pool Week 249

in Ecency2 days ago

The 2nd #HiveBeeCon is over (it finished yesterday, but I came home a few hours ago) and it was a nice boost for motivation, confidence, and inspiration for future actions... I'm preparing a "big, fat recap of the event", as you are probably used to seeing on my blog... I will probably put all in one post, but who knows, maybe there will be a need to split it... Will see... Luckily, I was somewhat removed from online activities, so I didn't stress too much about the continuous bleeding of crypto...

I will not include a recap of the event in this post, but I would like to mention a small part of it... The Kingdom in Krakow, Poland, isn't just a HiveHUB, it is way more than that... It gathers different people, with different interests, different ages, and all that creates a perfect "soup"... But, there is one thing that connects all of them... The need for connecting with other people IRL, and the need to "disconnect" from the lunatic, often fake, online life!

It's so great to sit around the table with other people, who you may know or not, look them in the eyes, and discuss life, values, problems, solutions, etc. It's possible to be fake, but not for a long time... The real contact exposes lies, and truth comes to the surface very fast...

On one of the days, we had a "board games night" and we played an interesting game (which I didn't know), but you can see the image in the photo... 3-way chess, or at least, I named it like that... lol... Similar to normal chess, it has many combinations, strategies, tactics, but, as you are playing against 2 people, it requires a bit of politics while playing... Who will attack, who will defend, and who will use the moment to attack while the other two are fighting... Of course, I made a mistake as I was a noob... Exactly what I explained happened! While I was attacking one player, the other was attacking me... 😀

Anyway, it's interesting to add some more dimensions to a silly board game, but they can be easily compared with some real-life events... I will leave it to your imagination until the next post on this topic!

Let's see the WorkerBee Pool numbers for this week...

This week, we have mined 104 BEE tokens in total, 30 MORE than the week before! After a bad result last week, this was nice to see!

This week, we didn't get new delegators, but we got new delegations from old members, as usual! Thanks, guys! Appreciate your support!

This POOL doesn't have fees, and you get up to 20% MORE by delegating to it!

What about the bonus tokens?

As markets are diving with nose down for the last month or so, most of the altcoins are suffering a lot... BTC drops 5%, alts 10-20%... On recovering, it's a simple percentage... Unfortunately, the gaming tokens aren't spared from this... Because of that, with the lower price of the STARBITS token, this week we will beat all the records by the number of distributed tokens as a bonus reward!

There will be distributed 5.6M STARBITS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!

image.png

5.6 million STARBITS tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 17.160%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 20.585%!

I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Do you want to sponsor the PH-Pool with your tokens, receive a short SPONSORED segment in this post, and raise awareness about your front-end or dApp? Please let me know in the comment section, or contact me through Discord or Twitter, and we will find the best solution for both parties...

Liotes Divider Blue.png

If you want to join the WorkerBee PH-Pool, the only thing that you have to do is to STAKE tokens to YOUR account and DELEGATE your staked WORKERBEE tokens to THIS account (@ph1102)! Every week, you will get your portion of mined BEE tokens and BONUS rewards!

.:. DO NOT STAKE TOKENS TO MY ACCOUNT!!! Just DELEGATE! .:.

Kbk is also like the 3-D chess game... lots of different ways and situations. and the soup analogy is more fitting and perfect. I give you credit for trying to play this chess game. I avoided it like the plague lol

Hahahaha... Why did you avoid it? The only problem is that it can be a bit "slow"... hahahaha... That's why I played only 1, as I would miss all the fun around and meeting other peeps... 😃
But the game itself has many dynamics!

This concept of 3 way chess seems to be good. It is interesting how games can mirror real-life situations, particularly when you add in aspects of negotiation and strategy.

Believe it or not, exactly those were some of the characteristics of the game... For example, I got a check-mate from one player, but to keep his chances for winning, the other player had a chance to "help me" and made my way out of the check-mate, but moving his figurine made me a path to "escape" 🙂

I've not heard of 3 way chess before but it seems fun and interesting to play with others IRL. Can probably only think a few moves ahead and get it right lol. Looking forward to the recap post(s) :)

I tried to look a few moves ahead, but you have +1 set of figurines on the table... lol... So, you have to watch 4 bishops, or 4 knights... And it is challenging... lol...

4 bishops!? So it's kind of like a double chessboard for 3 players? That would mess up my brain lol, big time before I get the hang of it :D

I'm looking at a photo of this interesting three-way chess board and a beer can catches my eye?
Did your visit to Prague touch you so much that you became a beer drinker?

Jonestly, since I saw the chocolate making workshop, I was expecting a cup of hot chocolate in this picture 🙂Unless the game kept you so occupied that you passed up the opportunity to clean the beans for your cup?

Hehehehe... Actually, that photo was taken when someone else played at the table, and I was playing the game after... So, unfortunatelly (or luckily), I didn't convert into a "perma-beer-drinker" 😂
And regarding hot chocolate, I forgot to take photos... Maybe someone did, and they will pop up somewhere on HIVE... 😃

All in all, it was a great event and a very nice 1-week excursion to the Czech Republic and Poland! 🍻

PS. See you tomorrow in the first underground HHHLive show... 😃

I'm eagerly awaiting that big post, I'm sure you're having a great time. I've seen 3-player chess somewhere before, but it's definitely an interesting approach. Playing against each other can be very difficult, playing with 3 people is much harder. Maybe you should form an alliance with someone and try to beat the third player :P

Well, forming an alliance is a possible option for sure... When the guy who beat us explained, it was obvious that in the first part of the game, you keep the focus on defense, leaving others to fight... hehehehe... They lose figurines, and you not... in the second part, you attack the weaker and your winning possibilities are bigger... 😃

Thanks for the update! This 3-D chess looks interesting! 👍

While it has similarities with standard chess, having one player more in the game makes it completely different... You have to watch your back! 😃

never seen 3 way chess before , 20% apr is nice indeed

I suppose we were lucky this week with the pool mining... We will see how it goes next week... :)

And regarding 3-way chess, I played only 1 game, and of course, lost... 🤣

I thought 3D chess is a myth created by Big Bang Theory. Thank you for the STARBITS!

Hahahaha... I think that was 3D chess, and it's for 2 players... This is a 3-way chess, and it's made for 3 players! That's the main difference, which makes a whole lot of possible combinations... 😃

3 ways chess sounds fun! On tactical games the more players the more fun! Becomes a sort of Risiko then

I don't know how to describe it, but for example, every attack toward one player made you more vulnerable toward the other one... You lose energy (and figures) on one, while the other one uses his chances to attack from behind... 😃

Like an rts game, definitely more fun in 3!

kind of... but in an RTS game, very often you WIN army/levels/skill that gives you an advantage to beat the rest of the players... But here, you will most possible lose your figurines by attacking someone first, and have a weaker army for the other player... :)

Board games seem nice. It's a nice way to play with people, and I have never considered 3 way chess.

Thanks for running the pool and for the BEE/STARBITS.

This was my first time learning about 3-way chess... I had no idea something like that exists... It was fun, but a bit slow... Of course, that depends on players... :)
