I never would have imagined that this thing would last this long, and also, I couldn't have guessed that it would receive such support from you guys! 92 people supporting this pool is awesome! Now, let's talk about the title... If you aren't a cryptocurrency geek/degen, you can skip this and go directly to the numbers of the week for the pool... I heard about the term "self-fulfilling prophecy" many times, but I didn't pay attention... Anything connected to predicting, card reading, prophecies, is a big no-no for me... I don't believe too much in them, and I'm quite sure that nobody knows what the future will bring... But if I don't believe in something, it doesn't mean that others don't believe too! Sometimes, these simple things are hardest to understand (and to accept!)...
The same was with showing the "revolutionary idea" of Bitcoin in 2017, or the power of smart-contracts... All that was crystal clear to me, but to others it wasn't! It was frustrating... Certain things just make no sense sometimes...
A self-fulfilling prophecy is a belief or expectation that, through its influence on behavior, causes itself to become true. This can happen in both positive and negative ways; for instance, a person who expects to do well in a job interview may act more confidently, leading to a better performance, while someone convinced they will fail may not prepare adequately, leading to failure. This phenomenon can affect individuals, groups, and even larger social systems.

For example, this year, it was "obvious" that Bitcoin (and crypto) has a huge support of the mainstream media, politicians, people... But despite all that, some other assets performed much better, and BTC is up 10K compared to the end of the last administration in the US, which was completely against it!
But, do you know what it did exactly as it should, like a good old Swiss watch? The 4-year crypto cycle! We hit the current ATH EXACTLY, by the day, after 4 years!!! It makes no sense as so many variables changed in the last 4 years, but still, people BELIEVED in the cycle, and MADE IT HAPPEN!
That's why today's title is self-fulfilling prophecy... That's why technical analysis works, people like to follow patterns, and when they "agree" on following something, it happens! Sometimes, completely out of any fundamentals, or valid fact, it's just a "silent" agreement... The rest that happens is usually just the cause of the dump, or the pump...

I was checking out how many SPS tokens I sent when it was distributed last time, and it looks like it was a bit more than now... That means that either the price of the token went up, or we mined a lot more BEE tokens last time... A Closer look at the chart proved the fact that the SPS token went up, which is nice to see! Splinterlands is innovating, and it looks like the team is doing some good moves in the right direction... Truth to be told, I was checking the SPS/HIVE chart, which is a lot more different than the SPS/USD... But, the most important thing is that the game development is still there, which should show in the charts in the future...
There will be distributed 170 SPS tokens to the delegators of the pool as a bonus reward today!
170 SPS tokens will be distributed as a bonus... The APR (without the bonus) was 12.887%, and when we added the bonus, it went up to 15.612%!
I have calculated the ROI approximately with medium prices for all tokens when creating this post... So, those numbers are valid if you bought WB and sold BEE tokens at the middle HiveEngine price...

Thanks for the news and the topic. But, ugh... we should wait 4 years now... But I can't find an explanation for Hive...
It's challenging to pinpoint the exact issue, but in uncertain times, people tend to gravitate towards larger, safer assets, and unfortunately, HIVE isn't among them...
HIVE needs more incentives to be HODLed, and at this moment, it's more viewed as a milking cow... That needs to be changed...
I think the self fulfilling prophecy is quite true sometimes! Hahaha.. But where is the alt season? :P

Hehe gold was the surprise for me! I don't own gold but interesting that it is doing so well!
Hence, the saying that our thoughts can influence reality! Patterns are always cyclical, path of the reasons also is human behaviour is actually very constant, especially the fear and greed duo. We'll probably keep creating self-fulfilling prophecies collectively, hopefully mostly for good, and not the kind that makes things worse off for us.
I truly believe in that! When I was younger, I was involved in some MLM companies and read a bunch of those "sales books", with those "corny" lessons... But, when I started my own company, I did "visualize" some of my goals so strongly that they indeed happened... Which isn't exactly the topic of this post, but a nice addition to your observation...

I very much believe so. Such underrated advice that's usually brushed to the curb by our modern "scientific" brain as some woo woo stuff.
Support is not enough, and often too much support serves as counter signal and vice versa.
Technical analysis works indeed, let's say 80 percent of the time.
For the exactly same reason as markets do.
Human nature and predictability based upon observing those patterns of human nature.
In a same time, everything is kind of going down except gold, and that is biggest sign that we are in times of deep economic, but also political and sociological crises.
Gold is in that sense the only true safe heaven.
Bitcoin could be safe heaven in a world where at least there is basic stability, not in this kind of the world where all of the foundations are threatened.
Adding to it in the USA it is still not clear how will crypto regulations turn out to be. Just recently you had again attack from TradFi towards Microstrategy, Teather and other big players.

EU is sliding towards fascism, instability and third world environment (no I do not mean emigration altho that is also an issue, but because of systematic lack of energy and resources)

As you said, this is probably the most concerning to see... When gold reaps up, there are some serious issues with the economy... And not just in the US, but world-wide!
I don't agree 100% with that statement... It is exactly for those moments, but the real problem is what you mentioned later, the politics and manipulation of the masses... Playing with crypto and jumping from positive to negative... when it reaches the gold "status", that will not be possible...

Yes, when everything is falling except gold, silver.. we are in for some tough economical ride.
Bitcoin just like all other crypto needs stable energy grid in order to reach full potential.(General acceptance and understanding)
Connotation is on the Western World, Japan, South Korea... have all big and systematic energy issues and leading "green" ideology is totally detrimental to the cause and ambitions of anything digital.Just like AI bubble that is also becoming more and more obvious.
Remember saying, first jump then say hopa? :)..in many ways they went first to say hopa opa, but there is not enough infrastructure, projects are way too overpriced while actual revenue model is still doubtful.
In a same time, there is too much talk, too little action. Things are not improving but are steadily imploding.
On the other hand, any kind of stability, any kind of good news would be extremely bullish for the whole ecosystem. Time will tell.
About that topic, I've read a case in a concentration camp, that a man lasted until the soviets arrived while many others died, because he had to survive for his children that were in other parts and he was sure he would meet them again... His body resisted with that conviction
There are many similar cases of unnatural strength and perseverance of parents, when they are "fighting" for their kids, especially mothers... The "impossible" doesn't exist when your child is in trouble!

I haven't been able to get any WORKERBEE tokens. I need to figure out how to get them. I only have 19 BEE tokens.
I have noticed that some of the pool participants swap their BEE earnings into WORKERBEE and compound their "stake"... You can do that directly on BeeSwap:
