Ulcer is a sore that grows or develops on the lining of the stomach or small intestine, this occurs when stomach acids damage the lining in the digestive tract of the body. The stomach is infected by bacteria called H pylori.
There are different types of ulcer such as gastric ulcer,Duodenal ulcer and peptic ulcer. These affect stomach and small intestine in the digestive system.
Ulcers are caused by many reasons ,
Some ulcers are caused by bacteria infection ( H.Pylori) while some are caused by overdose of some painkiller drugs like (aspirin and ibuprofen)
Some are caused by stress and lack of rest , intake of acid production .
There are symptoms and signs of ulcers , we have
*Abdominal pain
*Weight loss
*Nausea and vomiting
*Gas or bloating in the stomach region.
It can be treated using antibiotics, managing stress, avoid eating foods that trigger it and also avoid excessive consumption of acid production.
