HOW ARE BRICKS MADE.? // The traditional brick making process is full of perseverance and hard work.

Good night to all my beloved hive friends ♥️

In this post I will share my experience while learning to make bricks with my uncle, my uncle lives in Buket Panjang 2 village and he is a farmer but he also has a small coal factory and is also his main source of income, it is very interesting to learn and study how the process of forming coal which is the main material for making houses, I may not be able to explain the process in detail here because of my lack of knowledge, but I will try to provide every information I know about the step by step process of making bricks.

My uncle said, the first thing to pay attention to when you want to build a brick factory business is that we must have land first. At that time, my uncle invited me to see directly how the process of making bricks starts from the first stage, namely preparing materials and tools, the main material is of course soil, but not all soil can be made into bricks so it must also be selected first. Even though my uncle's brick factory is not too big, he already has a printing machine so he doesn't need to use his hands to print bricks.

From the two photos above we can see that there are three people working on printing bricks, they print them using a machine but I don't know how the machine works, I also didn't approach the machine closer because the area is slippery and wet and the sound of the machine is also very loud.

By using a machine, brick molding becomes easier and faster, and the molded bricks are immediately moved to the drying area.

Here the bricks will be laid very neatly, and will be left for several days so that the bricks will dry by themselves, maybe this process will take about a week or more.

Of course the process is still quite long. After the bricks have dried, it's time to enter the next stage, namely burning, burning bricks will also take days so we also have to prepare a lot of firewood, but finding firewood is not easy and also not cheap if we want to buy it, and here we have to think a little to get more economical and cheaper fuel.

And here we can see that there are lots of piles of empty oil palm bunches that have been stocked by my uncle, of course these empty oil palm bunches can be easily obtained and also sometimes not sold at all. According to my uncle, these empty oil palm bunches can be used as fuel to replace firewood, and they can light up easily and last a long time, this is a very brilliant idea.

The dried bricks will also be arranged neatly in the kiln, but unfortunately at that time I could not see the brick burning process directly, but look at how the kiln is built, and the fire will be lit in it for days.

The bricks will be burned for days and it depends on the quality of the bricks themselves, bricks that are ready will be marked by a significant change in color, bricks that were originally brown will change color to brick red, the texture will also harden and will make a loud sound when hit.

However, the process does not end here, after the bricks have gone through the firing stage, then the bricks will enter the sorting stage, the bricks will be selected and sorted into which ones are good and which ones are damaged, and after that the bricks will be ready to be marketed.

These are the stages and processes of making bricks, of course this is knowledge that is useful for all of us, but I realize that there are still many processes and stages that I may have missed or maybe even I myself do not know, sharing knowledge and learning together is the beginning of success. I am always interested in trying many new things and continuing to learn, because I always believe that luck will always come to those who want to try.

Hey @riyat you are welcome.
Thanks for using @worldmappin 😘

It's hard work. Here in my country, I've seen the brickmaking process, and it's truly worthy of respect for those who work there.

You are absolutely right, they work with very high hopes, I see they don't care about their bodies being burned by the sun,of course this is a very interesting science to learn.
Thank you very much for your support and kind comments my friend 🙏

This is truly an interesting post.
I got so involved with it that I felt like I was there! Good writing and imagery seems to have that effect on me!
A very good read. Great idea using the palm bunches.
Thanks.

I always try to give the best here, believe me prioritizing quality over quantity is the most important thing.
Thank you very much for your support and kind comments🙏
